The Story of Nadege E. Carre
Nadege E. Carre is a former breast cancer survivor, health coordinator, and daycare owner who has relaunched her business Carre’s Boutique.
“I know why I’m here. My purpose is to encourage somebody to make the right decision to learn and believe that God is real and miracles are real too.”
The Haitian native migrated to Hazel Crest, IL when she was adopted by her mother, Marie and graduated high school from Chicago SDA Academy. Carre later received a degree in General Studies from Indiana University of South Bend. Returning back to Illinois to begin her career in early childhood education, Carre served as the Early Childhood Teacher Assistant. She later served as the Director and Health Coordinator for the Marcy Newberry Center for several schools in the serving district. Through her work with the center Carre was able to attend the University of Chicago Master’s program for Early Childhood Education.
“I wanted to work with younger children and was compelled to begin a daycare.” Carre started a home daycare business for children 6 weeks to 12 years old. During this time, Carre was diagnosed with fibroids and underwent a successful surgery. She continued to manage her home daycare for 10 years before COVID-19 forced her to close the doors.
In 2021, Carre was diagnosed with Breast Cancer while going through a divorce. “God you see my heart…I knew God, but my relationship didn’t get strong until I got married,” Carre says as she grew her connection to God to help her overcome the challenges she experienced with the diagnosis while dealing with the separation. This is when Carre’s gift of spiritual discernment and visions from God became more apparent and she received visions of designs she would later use to relaunch her brand.
After receiving the second dose of chemotherapy, she fell into a coma for two weeks, where she had to learn how to speak and walk again. “I fought; I survived and now I’m thriving”, says Carre. Reignited by a second chance at life, Carre has found new love and has launched her brand, God Got Me under Carre’s Boutique. Her brand is spiritually led and for the everyday person who desires comfort. “Making ourselves available to receive God’s help and guidance opens doors that we couldn’t imagine for ourselves.”
